Hi Everyone,



We are looking to host another Wilderness First Aid – CPR – EpiPen training
course (1 day training offered on 2 options of days). For Sierra Rescue to
come to UCR and provide this training, they need 14 people per day on each
of the days (28 people total).



Adnyone who pre-registers on this link will be the first to receive the
official registration link to sign-up for a spot in the class before it is
sent out to the rest of campus.



In the past, we have hosted a Wilderness First Aid training course
(includes Wilderness First Aid, CPR-AED, and EpiPen training) taught by
Sierra Rescue. All the training provided in this course will fulfil the
training requirements for any groups seeking to obtain a Lay Rescuer EpiPen
for their first aid kits in accordance with the rules stated in AB 1386.
The Wilderness First Aid portion includes administering of first aid
following injuries that are likely to occur in the field with limited
resources. The CPR portion is an official CPR-AED certification. The EpiPen
training provides the required EpiPen training for Lay Rescuers in
accordance with California Section 1797.197a. This training is particularly
useful for any groups that take field trips or work around stinging insects.



If any of you have taken this course before, do know that some of the
training expires after 2 years so, if it has been 2 years since you
attended this training, it may be time to renew it. If you have new people
added to your research groups who could benefit, they are also encouraged
to take the training.



The cost of the training is $125 per person. The training will take place
at UCR EH&S’s main meeting room (The Lyceum). Meals will not be provided.

I will be able to open a registration link for everyone to officially
register.
