*Duties:*

   - Teaching responsibilities will include both lecture and laboratory /
   field components of lower-level foundational courses in biology and
   specialized upper-level courses.

*Qualifications:*

   - Ph.D. in Biology from an appropriately accredited institution
   - A specialty in invertebrate zoology (e.g., entomology, parasitology,
   and/or physiological ecology)
   - Demonstration of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level
   - Ability to conduct a research program that focuses on the training of
   undergraduate
   - A commitment to, and understanding of, the importance of equity,
   diversity, and inclusion in the classroom and workplace.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

   - Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral experience
   in invertebrate zoology
   - Potential for contributing to field-based teaching and/or research
   - Potential to build on existing strengths in animal behavior,
   insect-plant interactions, and/or population/community ecology
   - While undergraduate student training remains a priority, the ability
   to establish an externally funded (e.g., NSERC) research program is
   encouraged
   - Experience with course and curriculum development
   - Experience in active facilitation of learning in an online
   environment, including working with current educational technologies, tools
   and Learning Management Systems
