[Entm-researchstaff] Second floor cold room

Hi,
If you are getting this email it is because you are part of the "Usual
Suspects".   We need to have the second floor cold room straightened up to
make room for material coming in next week that needs chilling as well as
potential stuff coming down from the cold room attached to the Chamber
building.  While I am at it, include all of the cold rooms in the
Entomology Building.  Here are the issues for the second floor.

1.  There is a large amount of various UNMARKED and UNLABELED items and
boxes in the room.  Please go down there and either label your things or
dispose of them.  ANYTHING IN A  COLD ROOM SHOULD HAVE A PI's NAME ATTACHED
TO IT WITHOUT EXCEPTION.  Some of it is marked with the name "Deborah".
The only "Deborah" I know graduated out of John Trumble's lab about 8-10
years ago; Greg Kund, can you take a look and see if this is hers, and if
so, dump it appropriately?

2. There are items in there from people long gone.  I just dumped stuff
from one of my grad students who was here 18 years ago as well as a
container of casein from Nancy Beckage.  Again please go in and check to
make sure you do not have orphan material laying around (Tim/Michele you
have stuff in there with Michele's name on it).   Matt/Mark---lots of
yellow sticky cards with your name. By lots, I mean about half of the room.

*3. * *CRITICAL:  There are two 5 gal jerry cans full of an unknown
concentration of thiomethoxam (see attached picture).  This is an
inseticide used for ant bait, etc.  Choe, Mark, and Chow-Yang I am looking
at you simply by associational guilt. Storage of toxic/hazardous materials
in a cold room is forbidden.*

*4. *While I am ranting and raving, Please go and check the other coldrooms
(first floor and third floor, and the Chamber building) and label your
materials or dump what you do not need.

*Any remaining unlabeled (no PI's name) items by this Friday will be
dumped.*
