The following message forwarded on behalf of Doug Yanega.
Hi, all. I was just notified today that my car of 15 years is not going
to move again unless it gets a new engine, which would cost at least as
much as the car itself is worth. Thanks to the pandemic, the market
right now for used cars is horribly overpriced, and many new car dealers
have little in stock (possibly meaning months waiting to get a desired
car). I am therefore looking for options, at least in the short term,
among which is seeing if anyone in the department has a field-capable
car they might be willing to sell to a desperate colleague at a
non-pandemic price. I would be grateful if anyone who might be able to
help could contact me privately (dyanega at gmail.com<mailto:dyanega at gmail.com> preferred) with some
details. I have a little grace period to work with (I have a loaner I
can get to and from work with), but I can't take too long to figure
something out.
Thanks,
--
