Urgent Multiple Building Power Shutdown for Monday 1-18-21

SCOPE OF WORK

To transition critical buildings from temporary generator power back to campus power, a mandatory power shutdown will take place on Monday, January 18, 2021 (Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday) from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Although we understand holiday shutdowns are undesirable, the short notification and timing is due to limited vendor availability while avoiding disruption to campus instruction and regular campus business activity. This longer shutdown will eliminate the need for multiple future shutdowns or worse the risk of losing temporary power.

Facilities Services will provide impacted building occupants with significant updates to power restoration.


IMPACT

Power will be temporarily unavailable to the following locations during the transition of power:

*         Anthropology Trailer

*         Batchelor Hall

*         Botanic Gardens

*         Boyden Lab

*         College Building North

*         Entomology Building

*         Fawcett Laboratory

*         Facilities Services Annex A and B

*         Greenhouses 1-3, and 18-21

*         Growth Chamber Facility 1 (GCSF1)

*         Keen Hall

*         Life Sciences Building

*         Satellite Chiller Plant

*         Spieth Hall, Herbarium and Vivarium

*         Stored Products Insecticide (SPI) Building

*         Superintendents Cottage

*         University Office Building
