Updated Date: Pending Multiple Building Power Shutdown for Saturday 02-27-21

Please be advised:



In an effort to integrate new power switches into existing electrical
circuits, it will be necessary to perform electrical work on the campus
high voltage system in the project area on *Saturday, February 27, 2021 at
12:00 a.m. (midnight) - 5:00 a.m.* This work will require the following:



   - The original proposed shutdown date of 02/20/21 has been updated
to *Saturday,
   February 27, 2021* and was selected due to the scope and safety
   considerations required for this work, as it is preferred to be performed
   during a time period when power usage is at its lowest and campus business
   operations are closed.
   - Multiple buildings (listed below) to experience *two service
   interruption*s lasting less than 90 minutes in duration.
   - Additional buildings (listed below) to *experience one service*
interruptions
   lasting less than 5 minutes in duration.
   - It is our goal to limit interruptions related to this electrical
   project. Facilities Services staff will be onsite to ensure all power
   returns to normal.



*POWER INTERRUPTIONS*

The following buildings *will experience TWO service interruptions* lasting
up to a half hour (30 minutes) in duration.

·        The first service interruption will occur during the transition to
generator power and the second interruption transferring service from
generator power back to main power.

·        A generator will be located at the project worksite to provide
backup power to the main electrical circuits that supply these buildings
during the service interruption.

uninterrupted power devices (UPS) and surge protectors, please plan to
disconnect and turn off equipment for the duration of the day to avoid any
damage.
