Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to share this call for applicants for a faculty position
focused on crop entomology and pest management in the Department of
Entomology and Plant Pathology of the University of Arkansas System
Division of Agriculture and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. This
is a 12-month, tenure track position (70% research, 15% teaching, 15 %
extension) to be filled at the Assistant Professor level. A full
description and application details can be found in the attached document
and at:

The successful candidate is expected to develop a research program focused
on arthropod pests of agricultural products of importance to Arkansas, such
as corn, cotton, rice, soybeans, or feed grains, and problems of other
crops (e.g., peanuts, fruits, vegetables) where appropriate. Preferred
areas of research specialization could include, but are not limited to
integrated pest management, landscape ecology, insecticide resistance,
grain storage pests, remote sensing, and novel pest control methods.
However, research specialization is not limited to a specific commodity.

The position is located at the University of Arkansas main campus in
Fayetteville, located in the Ozark Mountains in northwest Arkansas.
Fayetteville consistently ranks as one of the best places to live in the
U.S. https://realestate.usnews.com/places/arkansas/fayetteville
