[Entm-researchstaff] Availability of Grief Counseling

Many of you have asked me about what types, if any, of grief counseling
might be available through campus.  There are resources available for all
of us.  Take some time for yourself to grieve and don't hesitate to take
advantage of what is there.  We will get through this together.

*For Faculty and Staff:*

I refer you to the  Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.  This option
can support
the staff and faculty individually and potentially with group processing.

is confidential.  If you need some help right away, please call the 24 hour
number at 866.615.3047 .



*For Students: *

The Counseling and Psychological Service Office (CAPS,
https://counseling.ucr.edu/
 and  https://counseling.ucr.edu/psychotherapy-and-psychiatric-services ) is
open and has appointments available daily for brief consults or initial
intake sessions.  Should people feel like they need therapy associated with
the loss, CAPS is a resource to consider  and can be reached  by calling
951-827-5531.  Often, students are just needing to express emotion and they
may not need therapy to process their grief. Don't hesitate to get help!


For other concerns that may come up as a consequence of grief, Student
Affairs Case Management <https://casemanagement.ucr.edu/> office is another
great resource.   Their phone number is 951-827-5000.
