Hi Entomology People,
I am asking for your last minute down-to-the-wire help. You may know there
is a student election going on right now, and the R'Garden referendum is on
the ballot. In order for the referendum to count, we need 20% of the
student body to vote before 1:00 pm tomorrow. As of 12:15 pm today, we are
at 13.37% so far short.

We have students and staff all over campus now encouraging students to vote
but it is an uphill battle as you can see.

If you are teaching, would you mind asking your students to please vote
(either in class, or if you don't meet, via Canvas)? If you are not, would
you spread the word to any undergraduates you work with, and your
colleagues?

Undergraduates were all emailed a ballot at 8:00 am Monday. They can also
vote at the Bell Tower, the Student Success Center, Lothian, or Glasgow.
It takes 3 minutes.

As you may know, there is currently no plan B for the R'Garden. No other
campus unit is willing to pick up the budget. So if this referendum fails,
we may not have an R'Garden next year.

Thanks,
Amy
