Dear CNAS Faculty,

The *Goldwater Scholarship <https://goldwaterscholarship.gov/our-mission/>* is
one of the most prestigious national awards for undergraduate researchers
in the sciences, engineering, and mathematics. It provides up to *$7,500* to
outstanding students who show exceptional promise in research and plan to
pursue graduate studies in a STEM field.

*The* *Center for Undergraduate Research & Engaged Learning (CUREL)* supports
applicants through mentorship and writing support.  Please encourage
promising undergraduate sophomores and junior researchers to submit a
*pre-application* <https://apply.scholarsapply.org/barrygoldwater/> so that
we can begin working with them. *You can also nominate students by sending
their names and emails to me.  *

To date, 19 UCR students have won a Goldwater Scholarship. Please help us
find the next Goldwater Scholars.
