Do you have a research project you’d like to share with others in
agricultural sciences in California?
The *California Chapter of the American Society of Agronomy* (Cal-ASA) is
seeking abstract submissions for the poster session at the 2026 California
Plant & Soil Conference. Conference sessions emphasize nutrient, water,
pest and disease management, soil conservation and health, and
environmental stress resiliency in agriculture. If you are doing research
in a field related to agricultural and environmental stewardship, please
consider presenting your project in poster format.
This year’s session is open to submissions from students and professionals.
Students may compete for cash scholarship awards based on the quality of
the poster. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to
participate, as well as those who have graduated within 1 year of the
conference.

Abstracts must be received by *11:59 PM, Thursday December 4, 2025*.
Conference will be held *February 3 & 4, 2026* at the *Visalia Convention
Center.*

If you are an *undergraduate student *enrolled in a crop production, plant
science, soil science, or agronomy degree program, consider applying for a
*scholarship* from the *California Chapter of the American Society of
Agronomy*! The recipient(s) will be recognized at the California Plant &
Soil Conference, to be held February 3-4, 2026, at the Visalia Convention
Center.
To apply, you’ll submit your transcripts, two letters of recommendation,
and a one-page autobiographical essay describing the personal and
professional experiences that inspired your career path in agronomy; and
your future goals to advance California agriculture. *Applications are due
January 9th, 2026.* Detailed instructions and submissions forms are
