Dear I&Q Users:


Please check the message below.  In both your rooms and in the common labs,
please make sure there is at least *18 in* clearance from the ceiling.



*Also*, please remember *not* to use hallways or common laboratories for
storage of equipment.  I will be going around checking everything and
cleaning common areas. Please make sure your own materials are clearly
labeled.  We have some old materials from previous projects that need to be
discarded.

All,


I know several of you were wondering about mandated clearances between
items stored on shelves and the ceiling/sprinklers.  The mandate is simply
nothing can be stored within 18 inches of the ceiling regardless of
sprinkler location.  Please check your labs asap and if necessary move
stuff off of those high shelves, tall freezers, etc.  This goes for both
offices and labs.
