[Entm-beu] OUTREACH Santa Rosa Plateau this Saturday Nov. 2nd

Hi Entomologists,

Who would like to volunteer this weekend for a simple 2h touch-a-bug table at an Ecological Reserve in Murrieta? It’s a little further than we usually travel (~1h drive from campus) and I agreed because it sounds like fun and our colleagues at the local CDFA office reached out to me for our help. We can request free tickets for the rest of the event for whoever accompanies you. I thought I’d offer it to you first as it is an easy 6-7 hours of outreach hours by the time you pick up the insects on Friday/Saturday and drive there and back, or more if you stay beyond 12pm. Mileage reimbursement or fleet services can be arranged with Angel White.

Event: “Family Wildlife Day”
Location: Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, 39400 Clinton Keith Rd, Murrieta, CA
Organization: Nature Education Foundation
Time: 10am-12pm. Get there to start by 10am. Hand over the booth to CDFA staff (Jessica Rodriguez jessica.rodriguez at cdfa.ca.gov<mailto:jessica.rodriguez at cdfa.ca.gov>) around 12pm, or leave the materials there for them. CDFA staff will cover the booth from 12pm-3pm then pack up and bring back the insects to campus.
Participants: general public all ages - table with live insects to handle
