[Entm-beu] Outreach and Science Communication Travel Funds

Hi Students,

The Department of Entomology provides Outreach and Science Communication Travel Funds to students with a major professor in Entomology, who complete volunteering hours towards Department Outreach events (sign up for events on this calendar<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YJ0YzUEdRbLTXDJ5u8eLwAVe-ThWASAie1YsJIWoPDs/edit?usp=share_link>; see general information here<https://entomology.ucr.edu/node/1866>). Please see the attached policy. The requirement of 40 hours will be phased in starting in April 2025. Funds claimed for travel up to and including the Pacific Branch Entomological Society of America (PBESA) meeting in March 2025 will honor the previous requirement of 30 hours.

This will be the data used by the Travel Coordinator (Angel White, copied) to verify your hours when you claim the travel funds.

Please share with students in your labs who are not on the egsa or entm-beu listservs and may be eligible.
