[Entm-beu] OUTREACH volunteers needed -- this Saturday Ameal Moore Nature Center

Hi Entomologists,

I am looking for 2-3 people to help me run a small outreach event this Saturday at the Ameal Moore Nature Center. It is short notice and one of two outreach events this weekend, so many of us are already signed up for the larger UCR Discovery Day event. Event: October Open House ‘Creepy Crawlies'

Organization: City of Riverside, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
Time: setup from 9am, event 10am-12pm
Participants: 5 to 25 visitors including children.

I will give a short presentation and we will have activity stations set up, including live insects, displays, and crafts. The volunteers will help run the activity stations e.g. help visitors use the microscope, chat with visitors about insects as they look at the displays, help visitors pet the hissing roaches.
