LAB COAT LAUNDERING PROGRAM

Happy 2024!

Although I am sure we will have many things to look forward to this year, one of our first items that we are extremely excited about is the launch of our Lab Coat Laundering Program!

First drop-offs into the soiled coat lockers may begin taking place on January 8th.

First pick-ups by Mission Linen will begin on January 16th.

Coats take about 2 weeks to come back from laundering.

As promised to you before the break, I am emailing you all today as the campus Principal Investigators and Lab Safety Contacts to provide you with the combination code for the clean coat return lockers.

This code is subject to change if needed, upon which you will all be contacted again with the new code, as well as every year in January.

Please remember that you may need to push the locker door in to be flush with the rest of the locker when opening and closing as there were alignment issues in the installation of the locks. Also please remember to re-lock the lockers after you have retrieved your clean coats.

To use the locks:

Turn the dials to the set 4-digit combination.

Slide the latch to the left by moving the knob to the left.

Retrieve your cleaned lab coats.

Close the door and re-lock the lockers by sliding the latch to the right by moving the knob to the right.

Spin the dials again to move away from the set combination.

You may have to push in on the door when opening and closing as the latch does not perfectly align.

The combination for this year is:

.....5528.....

Signage will be placed on each locker this week with the matching barcode to each location to help people ensure they are using the correct location.

If you are still in need of having your lab coats barcoded for participation in this program, please BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT HERE<https://ucrehs.simplybook.me/v2/#book/category/2/service/14/count/1/>.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
