Hi y’all! Happy Friday!

Bodil is looking for someone to help her with an outreach! There will be
extra prep time involved on top of the actual outreach time (good
opportunity for those who are looking for hours for PAC ESA!)

She says “Please ask the person who signs up to contact me so I can
coordinate with them. The approx. times/tasks I need help with are:

Monday 12th sometime between 10am-3:30pm (or sometime this week) meet with
me in Chapman room 11 to pick up the materials to make the find-a-bug
activity
Sometime between Monday 12-Friday 16th: check-out display drawers from
insect museum and bring to Chapman room 11, make the find-a-bug activity
Friday 16th 10am - 1pm: collect some live insects from outdoors and put
into petri dishes and add names/information pages, check-out ~3 live insect
colonies from department outreach collection
Saturday 17th 11am - 5pm load my car on campus, assist at event
(1:00-3:30pm), unload my car on campus after event

If the volunteer/s isn't available to help with all of these tasks, Timo
from the lab can also help out especially with the preparation.”

Hello, I am conducting an insect outreach event that was suggested to me by
Rick - see details below. I could use some help from a student:
- prior to the event to help create a find-an-insect activity
- on the day of the event to assist with setup of equipment, showing live
insects under microscopes, and answering questions about display cases.
I think this could count towards the entomology outreach hours? Please let
me know how I can connect with a student.
