Hi Matt,

I hope you are doing well. It was great to meet you in Dec! I am just
following up about the grant opportunity I mentioned, the Hopland Scholars
Research Award
<https://hrec.ucanr.edu/Research/Hopland_Scholars_Research_Award/>, as the
application period is now open. It covers the project fee for a year of
field research at HREC for any student with a UC mentor. I know we are
pretty far away geographically, but it still might meet the needs/research
goals of certain students you might know. If so, I hope you will share with
them. Our current Scholar is a student of Rodrigo's, Andrea Brown, who is
doing some small viticulture trials. Anyway, I am happy to chat about this
more if anyone is interested. Take care,
