Hello,

My name is Kathryn. I am a campus organizer with the CALPIRG Chapter here
at UCR.* I wanted to reach out and see if you could forward this internship
opportunity to students in your department.*

As a reminder, CALPIRG Students is the organization at UCR working to
protect the environment, address food insecurity, and promote civic
engagement. We helped over 8000 students register to vote in California
this past midterm election!

This Winter, we’re working on our campaign to protect the oceans.
California’s oceans are home to amazing creatures like sea turtles and
otters threatened by overfishing, oil drilling, and pollution. We’re
calling on Governor Newsom to call on state agencies to increase
protections for our marine environments.

In addition, we’re working to reduce plastic pollution, address hunger and
homelessness, and encourage voter participation.

In the past, we’ve found that these emails are a great way to educate
students about opportunities to get involved.
