[Entm-beu] FW (travel): states added to AB 1887 prohibition

Hello Entomologists,

Georgia has recently been added to the AB1887 restriction list. Please also take note that Arizona was added, as it's nearby we do travel there on occasion.

The most recent information regarding the AB 1887 Act and why it exists can be found here: https://oag.ca.gov/ab1887. Please let me know if you have any questions.

As a reminder California asks that we do not spend state funds to travel to the following locations due to discriminatory laws being active in these states. We can still go to these locations using other funds, or with some limited exceptions.

Hello All,

Please see the new announcement about four states being added to the AB1887 prohibition list. New states include Idaho and Utah with Louisiana and Arizona being added later in the year. Most recent information can be found here: https://oag.ca.gov/ab1887

Just as a reminder these are 22 states that we generally cannot use California state funds to travel to (there are a few exceptions) due to those states maintaining discriminatory laws. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The following four states have been added to the AB1887 restrictions<https://oag.ca.gov/ab1887> on travel using state funding sources along with their effective dates:

  *   July 1, 2022: Utah
  *   July 1, 2022:  Indiana
  *   August 1, 2022: Louisiana
  *   September 28, 2022: Arizona

The states will be added to iTravel and Concur, in anticipation of our campus-wide deployment.  In the meantime, please be sure to carefully review the FAU used to fund travel to these states; state fund numbers are associated with UCR's tree nodes 3050 - Specific State Appropriations; 3055 - Special State Appropriations; 3060 - State Agencies (Contracts and Grants) and 3070 - General Funds; please refer to the Golden Tree Viewer (https://goldentree.ucr.edu/goldentree/goldentree.html ) under the Fund tab for specific fund numbers. Please ensure this information is communicated to your travelers that frequently travel out of state.
