Dear Naturalists,

Join us today for a georeferencing workshop at 5:00 pm hosted by Museum Scientist Dr. Lauren English. Georeferencing involves translating written locality descriptions into mappable coordinates. You will have the opportunity to gain skills that are applicable to relocating old localities in-person to resample specimens, map reading/navigation, understanding how to use locality data in research, and knowing how to record good locality data so others can use it. We are also excited to announce our field trip to the Natural History Museum of LA County on Saturday, February 12th.
