Dear Dr. Uhrich,
Good afternoon. It’s Jeanne Forbis, VP of Communications at Wilbur-Ellis.
Earlier I communicated some information about the *Wilbur-Ellis Innovation
Award <https://www.wilburellis.com/innovation-award/>*, which this summer
will award *a $25,000 top prize *to the team of U.S. college / university
students that proposes the best idea for *feeding a growing world
population*. With that in mind, I wanted to share *updated* information.
First, we want to encourage student teams *register to participate by*
*Tuesday,
March 1, to get 10 extra points added to their scores. The deadline for
submitting ideas is Monday, May 2*. Teams can register on the *Innovation
Award web page <https://www.wilburellis.com/innovation-award/>,* where
we’ve also posted links to a number of *e-cards* that can be sent to U.S.
college students about the Innovation Award. It’s an easy way to let
students know about the opportunity.
Below is a quick summary about the award – please feel free to share as you
wish. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. My cell
is 628-224-3053. The Innovation Award website
<https://www.wilburellis.com/innovation-award/> is also a good place to get
information.
Thank you in advance for helping us encourage innovation and bring out new
and exciting ideas that can benefit people worldwide.
Jeanne
*Registration Open for Wilbur-Ellis “Innovation Award”*
The *Wilbur-Ellis Innovation Award* is a great opportunity for college and
university students to share their ideas for *feeding a growing world
population*.
In its first year, the Innovation Award is open to student teams from U.S.
colleges / universities. The team that submits the best proposal for *feeding
a growing world population* will receive a *$25,000 top prize*. Honorable
mention awards of *$5,000* may also be given.
You can find information by linking to the *Innovation Award web page
<https://www.wilburellis.com/innovation-award/>*, located on the Wilbur-Ellis
website <https://www.wilburellis.com/>. There, students can learn more
about the award and register to participate.
- *Registration only takes a minute – and student teams that register
by **Tuesday, March 1, 2022**, will have 10 points added to their
scores!*
- *The deadline for submitting proposals is **Monday, May 2, 2022**.*
On the *Innovation Award web page
<https://www.wilburellis.com/innovation-award/>*, there’s a brief video
from Wilbur-Ellis *CEO John Buckley* explaining why Wilbur-Ellis is
sponsoring the Innovation Award, along with an FAQ and other information.
If you have questions, please email Jeanne Forbis, VP, Communications, at
jforbis at wilburellis.com. *And thanks in advance for helping to spread the
word!*
