The Oregon Department of Agriculture is hiring for a limited duration full
time NRS1 Entomologist position located at the main office in Salem,
Oregon. This position is classified as limited duration, but the position
is expected to continue long term. The last colleague in this position was
recently promoted to a NRS3 Entomologist in the lab. They worked in the
NRS1 limited duration position since 2009.

This position works in the Insect laboratory/ museum as an identifier. The
lab receives invasive insect samples from all across the nation. This
position also assists with a variety of tasks during the field season such
as implementing and setting up field sites, assisting with biological
control, suppression, eradication, and outreach activities.

The insect museum is comprised of five dedicated and passionate
entomologists, as well as two world renown retired entomologists. For more
