Ph.D. or M.S. Assistantship.  The Urban Entomology lab at Department of Entomology, Rutgers University located in New Brunswick, New Jersey has a Ph.D. or M.S. assistantship available in the Spring 2021. The assistantship will cover stipend, tuition, and medical insurance. The successful candidate will conduct research on house mouse ectoparasites and other topics related to urban pest management. The Urban Entomology lab at Rutgers University is nationally known for its active research programs and opportunities to connect with pest management industry. Current research areas include cockroach and bed bug behavior, nutrition, ecology, insecticide resistance, novel control materials and methods, and IPM. The candidate will have opportunity to interact with companies, building management staff, and residents. Requirements for the applicant include: a bachelor degree in Entomology, Biology, or Animal Sciences, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to travel frequently to apartment buildings, good statistical knowledge.
