*M.S. Assistantship in Entomology*

Funding is available for an Entomology M.S. Research Assistantship in the
Plant and Environmental Protection Sciences Department at UH Manoa
beginning in January 2021. Research will focus on the role of native and
introduced plant species’ pollen on honey bee health in Hawaii. This
research will incorporate field and molecular based techniques to address
conservation challenges faced by land managers.

Interested applicants are asked to email their CV, unofficial transcripts,
a one-page cover letter describing your research interests and career
aspirations, GRE scores (if available), and contact information for three
professional references. All materials must be received for consideration.
GRE scores must be available for formal admission into the program.

Qualifications:

-B.S. in entomology, biology, molecular biology, or a related field

-Basic skills in laboratory work

-Basic skills and knowledge in computers and software (e.g. Microsoft
Office, statistical programs, Python, etc.)
