Hi All,
Please see this request below from my colleague in CCB. If any PIs or lab
members of yours have the *EM 385-1-1 safety cert*, this would be a very
quick task, and would help out a lot. Please contact me or Lynn directly
(contact info below) if you have this cert.
Thanks!
Emma

To: <ccb_faculty at lists.ucr.edu>
CCB Faculty and affiliates,
If you have never heard of EM 385-1-1, and have no one on your team that's
worked on a DoD or Army Corps project, you can disregard this message.
We have a funded field research project with the Marine Base at Twentynine
Palms, similar to research we've done before, and this time we have an
additional requirement for review of our Accident Prevention Plan. Thus, *we're
looking for a person at UCR with the EM 385-1-1 safety cert *(40 hour
course often associated with US Army Corps or other DoD field projects). We
are highly familiar with planning and safe executing our vegetation
monitoring work in close coordination with MCAGCC, their safety and natural
resources training requirements, and this is just a formality on our side
they haven't required before.
I believe that this would be a very limited time obligation, but I'm happy
to discuss ways we can provide you some in-kind help for your research in
return (GIS, field help, etc.). I think the person just needs to be
employed by UCR.
If you happen to know someone who has this training at UCR, please pass on
this request to them or let me know. Thanks!
Best,
Lynn
