UWP Lecturers ilearn and the rosters

Hello all,

There's another option for getting rosters: Go to iGrade.ucr.edu, and pull up your class listing for this term. (Even though grades aren't due yet, your iGrade site is updated at the start of each term.) 

The screen for each of your sections has an Excel roster download option. Those rosters are simple (just student and student ID #), and don't have grade columns, Web icons, or other stuff crammed in with them, like the Blackboard options often do. 

(I prefer to use the rosters off of iGrade partly because I combine my sections all into one Blackboard site. If you have one Blackboard site for all of your sections, iGrade might be a better option for you, too.)

Hi Everyone,

There have been so many questions and different answers regarding role sheets and ilearn that I took them to the source (Leo, that is).  There are actually 3 ways to get your roster off of Blackboard:

1. go on the menu to Student Tools; click ROSTER; click on CONTAINS; click on NOT BLANK

2. go on the menu to Users and Groups; click on STARTS WITH; click on NOT BLANK

3. go on the menu to Grade Center; click at the top on WORK OFFLINE (You can then import the grade book to an Excel sheet and manipulate it.  It is important to remember that once you do this any information you send may not be secure, and the university is not responsible for any such security breaches.)

I was happy to learn these simples processes, but realize that the language of the commands is not intuitive and requires some explanation.  I hope this suffices.
