LECTURER

UNIVERSITY WRITING PROGRAM

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, RIVERSIDE

 

The University Writing Program at the University of California, Riverside, is seeking to hire full- and part-time Lecturers to teach Freshman Composition and/or Entry-Level Writing classes in the 2009-2010 academic year. An M.A. and at least one year's teaching experience at the college level are required for these appointments. For some positions, ESL certification is desirable. You must apply no later than Monday, May 4, 2009.

 

These positions are subject to the availability of funding. Salary is based on an annual full time rate of $43,336. An application letter, CV, verification of credentials (diploma, official transcripts, etc.), self-statement explaining your Composition pedagogy, student evaluations that cover an academic year, and three current letters of recommendation or a dossier are required. Materials related to teaching such as syllabi are also useful to the hiring committee.
