Why Plan? The Challenge Facing Domestic Partners

Everyone should be concerned about life and estate planning. Because
federal and state laws favor married couples, domestic partners face special
challenges. Civil unions help in some situations but do not fully protect
couples. This seminar will show you how you can plan to protect yourself
and a loved one and ensure that your wishes are carried out.

Who will get my assets when I die?

How should our property be held?

Who has the right to make decisions if I get sick?

How should we plan if we have kids?

Get the answers to these and other questions from a panel of experts who
will provide different perspectives on planning. Seminar presenter Joseph
Hahn is an estate planning attorney who specializes in domestic partnership
agreements. Mr. Hahn obtained his undergraduate degree at UC Riverside and
his J.D. at the Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley.
