[Englecturers] "saving the baby"

There's an interesting article by James Slevin in Profession 2007 - both overwhelmingly depressing and yet somewhat reaffirming, in the sense that much of what we have been doing in this program approximates what the author is recommending for other programs.  The "baby" therein is the neglected child of the divorce of literature and composition.
