[Englecturers] Madame Butterfly

Since so many of us are heavily invested in studying the discourses of race,
gender, and sexuality, I wanted to pass along that the LA Opera will be
performing Madame Butterfly in October (2nd-18th) of this year.  Balcony
tickets are very affordable and the views from on high are just as good as
the better seats.  The opera displays English subtitles so you don't have to
be an expert in Italian to follow along.

They are also performing the Wagner's first two operas of the Ring Cycle as
well!
