A correction - it looks like one itinerary was mixed with another: 

Cynthia Young's talk starts at 2:30 (and runs until 4:00pm), and 
is on "Film and the U.S. Third World Left".  It is in the English 
dept. conference room.

Young is currently at Boston College.  Her book, Soul Power: 
Radicalism and the Making of a U.S. Third World Left, will be 
published by Duke University Press this summer.  Should Young 
be offered the job, her appointment would almost certainly be in 
the English Department, with the understanding that when FVC 
becomes a department, she may move her line partially or 
completely into the new department.
