The Multi-Campus Research Group on late Antiquity,
the UCR History Department and the
Mellon Workshop on Medieval Cultures
are pleased to announce a lecture
Professor Rita Lizzi Testa
University of Perugia, Italy
Professor Lizzi Testa is one of the leading historians of
late antiquity. Her main areas of research include the
Christianization of the Roman Empire; the political function
of rhetoric; and institutional studies in late antiquity. She
is author of numerous books and articles, including, most
recently Senators, the People and the Popes: The government
of Rome at the time of
Valentinian (Munera 21), Bari 2004.
