[Englecturers] Help With Whole Text Selection

Greetings:

The book fairs are over and many of us have had an opportunity to review a 
number of textbooks, old and new, for courses in composition.  Given the 
changes to the Basic Writing program, several instructors have collaborated 
to choose a rhetoric and handbook that will serve students' and 
instructors' needs for BW3, and the English 4 and 5 courses.  We've nearly 
finalized those choices, but the choice of whole texts is still to be made.

In the spirit of keeping vitality in the Basic Writing courses, and in the 
hope of helping students avoid temptations to plagiarize, John has 
requested that we choose novels that have not been taught before.  Please 
send us your suggestions for a novel for English 4 and a pair of novels for 
English 5.  We welcome your input and will seriously consider any 
suggestions you have.
