[Englecturers] recognize this essay?

Does anyone recognize this essay, which I suspect of having a previous life?  
It starts,

"After a long drive through the mountains, the beach finally began appearing 
through the trees.  When we arrived, there was nobody in the water or lying 
out on the sand.  It looked like the beaches that are on postcards: empty, 
peaceful, and beautiful....

and so on, with surfers, a bonfire, etc.
