Hello UCR Researchers,
Our latest 12 Months of Research Safety Topic is on Glove Use in Public
Areas. Touching clean areas with contaminated gloves can spread chemical
and biological hazards to others in public areas. Check out the attached
flyer to learn more about best practices.
I also wanted to mention that we received a few questions on last month's
topic on if, and how, to ground and bond plastic containers of flammable
materials. We are working on additional guidance on this topic and will
share it soon.
Previous 12 Months of Research Safety flyers are available on our website
at https://ehs.ucr.edu/laboratory/12monthsofresearchsafety. Subscription
to this listserv is based on membership in an active LHAT and is updated
monthly. As always please contact ehslaboratory at ucr.edu if you have any
questions.
Thanks,
Patrick
