Hello UCR Researchers,

Our December 12 Months of Research Safety topic is on Working Alone and the
UCR Safe App.  As we get to the end of the year and things on campus quiet
down, we like to give a reminder on the hazards of working alone and good
practices to stay safe.  We also include a pageabout the UCR Safe

everyone on campus, available for Android and iOS.  If you would like to

I would also like to announce that the latest update of the Chemical
Hygiene Plan is now available on our website for PDF download here:
https://ehs.ucr.edu/laboratory/chemicalhygieneplan.  Labs should review the
changes and sign a new acknowledgement form for the 2025 revision:
https://ehs.ucr.edu/laboratory/chp-acknowledgement-form  Review Appendix A
for a summary of changes, the largest addition this year is requirements
for the use of methylene chloride/dichloromethane in Appendix B.

One final reminder, EH&S will be closed with campus for the winter holiday
from December 24th to January 1st.  If you need emergency assistance during
