[EHSResearchers] 12 Months of Research Safety - PPE

Hello EH&S Researchers,

Our 12 Months of Research Safety Topic this month is on PPE, including lab
coats and safety eyewear.  Do you know why EH&S provides different types of
PPE, and when you should use them?  Find out in the attached flyer.

I wanted to make a special note on the need to return PPE to EH&S when
leaving UCR.  Coats remain the property of UCR EH&S, and we review,
launder, and reuse coats when possible and safe.  Laundering and reusing a
lab coat can save over one hundred dollars a coat, and thousands of dollars
a year, which helps us to continue to provide this free service to the
campus.  If your lab has excess coats from previous members you would like
to return, please contact us at ehslaboratory at ucr.edu.

I would also like to mention that we have started publishing a podcast
based on our 12 Months of Research Safety topics, available on Spotify

listening experience, the podcast provides a brief discussion of what you
