[Ehsfaculty] Lab Safety Contact fall meeting

Hi Lab Safety Contacts,

Based on feedback received from the group after the previous meeting, we are going to make the Lab Safety Contact meeting quarterly rather than bimonthly.  Tuesday was the preferred day of the week, and most respondents were okay with the time.

Our next meeting is now planned for December 5th at 10AM.  We plan to share an update on our PPE laundering program, and include information about requested topics including recent incidents and hazardous waste.  I will send out an agenda before the meeting with the proposed topics.

This meeting will be most beneficial to laboratories that have hazards associated with them.  We received feedback from computational labs that the content was not relevant, and are discussing a separate Lab Safety Contact group/meeting that is better suited to the hazards in those spaces.  I kept all Lab Safety Contacts and PIs in this communication for now so that you are aware of what is happening.
