[Edge-faculty] Salton Sea Summit - Volunteers needed

Dear All,

In a couple of weeks, the UCR Salton Sea Task Force will host the fourth biannual Salton Sea Summit<https://www.saltonseasummit.org/>, with a focus on assembling and sharing cutting-edge research related to some of the most pressing environmental questions facing the Salton Sea region, as well as providing a platform for community dialogue and communication. This event will feature a combination of academic research, policy-focused discussions, and community feedback in a unique and multifaceted format, and may be of interest not only to those studying the Salton Sea region in particular, but also those interested in science to policy frameworks, community centered research, or environmental health and environmental justice in general.

This year's summit will be held on October 18th and 19th at Riverside's Palm Desert campus, and we are looking for student volunteers available to help out with event tasks such as registration, food setup, microphone management, and poster session support. Food will be provided, and there will be plenty of time to participate in the event itself for all volunteers. To help provide easy access to the Palm Desert Center, we can also provide nearby hotel accommodations for Thursday and Friday night, depending on volunteer interest and availability.
