Hi everyone,
This week Earth & Planetary Sciences and Environmental Sciences are jointly
hosting Dr. Sora Kim from UC Merced https://sora.leekim.org/home.
Dr. Kim's research should be of interest to the broader EDGE group. She is
a paleoecologist who studies environmental change and biotic response. She
is giving two seminars during her visit this week. First, on Tuesday, 10/24
she will give the Earth & Planetary Sciences Hewett Club lecture "Beyond
Shark Week: Environmental Change based on chemistry and fossils." On
Wednesday, 10/25 she will speak about "The mélange of equity, diversity,
and inclusion in the Geo- and Environmental Sciences" for an Environmental
Sciences sponsored DEI workshop. Please join for as many events as you can
