(DREU) program is the perfect opportunity to gain research experience early
in your academic career, which can help you decide if you want to pursue a
graduate degree and make you an attractive applicant.

A highly-regarded program with a rich 30-year history, DREU is an
NSF-backed intensive 10-week summer research experience for undergraduates
intended to increase the number of computing researchers from groups
minoritized in tech. Students are matched with a faculty mentor and are
directly involved in a research project with daily interaction with
graduate students and professors.

Participants receive $7,000 of NSF funding for 10 weeks of full-time work,
as well as relocation and additional funds to travel to a conference.
