[CW-Grad] Community of Writers Fellowship Awards

The Department of Creative Writing announces two fellowship awards to the Community of Writers workshops in Squaw Valley, California.
         · One fellowship will be awarded in poetry.
         · One will be awarded in fiction.
         These awards will cover the expense of conference tuition and housing expenses for the weeklong conference.  Please note: Recipients of these fellowships will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

These awards are only available to graduating second- and third-year MFA students.

Submission Requirements
Submissions should be unpublished work and must also include a cover sheet with the following contact information: home address, a telephone number, and email address.
         Please submit two hard copies of the submission, adhering to the following guidelines:
         Poetry: Submissions should consist of four or five stapled pages of recent poems, typed in twelve-point Times New Roman.  Your name should appear in the upper right-hand corner of each page.
         Fiction: Submissions may consist of a story or two or a novel chapter or chapters.  Novel chapters should be accompanied by a synopsis of the novel.  Submissions should be typed in double-spaced twelve-point Times New Roman.  They should not exceed 5,000 words. Your name should also appear in the upper right-hand corner of each page.

Additional Requirements
Applicants must be able to attend the entire conference.  The poetry conference will be held from Saturday, June 23rd to Saturday the 30th, 2012; the fiction conference will be held from Saturday, July 7th to Saturday the 14th, 2012.
