Mark your calendars to see the latest play by alumnus Joe Powers:

The play, Dreams in the Sand,  by Joseph Powers a story of immigration, deportation, death and dreams will receive its inaugural production at Cal State University San Marcos [333 S.Twin Oaks Valley Rd./San Marcos, CA 92096-0001] opening April 18th and running through April 27, 2013. It is the story of the plight of illegal immigrants and their struggle to return home through the deserts of the borderland after deportation.  It is the plight of the human struggle for survival and dignity.   Play includes poetry  by California Poet Laureate and UCR professor Juan Felipe Herrera.
