All Entries Receive Written Analysis from Two Readers
SUBMIT YOUR SCREENPLAY BY OCTOBER 15TH!

The BlueCat Screenplay provides all writers who enter their screenplay to our competition two written analyses. Two different readers will read each script, with each reader providing written feedback.

All screenplays submitted by Saturday, October 15th will receive their analysis before November 11th.

In addition, BlueCat allows all entrants the valuable and unique opportunity to develop their screenplays through resubmitting their scripts to their original readers (subject to availability), or choosing a fresh set of eyes in a new reader.

Thank you for entering BlueCat!

BlueCat Discovers Writers
Since 1998, BlueCat winners and finalists have gone on to be signed by CAA, UTA, and WME, sell their screenplays to Sony, be produced by Universal, sell a pitch to Warner Bros, and win major awards at the Sundance, Berlin and Tribeca Film Festivals, all after being discovered by and winning BlueCat.

Our Winners have gone on to win Nicholl and Austin, as well as countless other screenplay competitions, having won none before entering BlueCat. Before BlueCat, these writers were unknown, and in most cases, BlueCat was the first recognition they received.

BlueCat Develops Writers
Founded by a writer, the BlueCat Screenplay Competition's passionate commitment to develop and discover the unknown screenwriter continues to define our work today. We provide each writer who enters BlueCat two written analyses, ensuring each entry is reviewed by two readers, while supporting screenwriters of all levels and stages of development with the constructive feedback all writers require.

"Were it not for winning BlueCat, I simply wouldn't be in the same stratosphere that I'm in today------working on assignment. Winning was an awesome honor, but becoming a member of the BlueCat 'family,' further developing my script after its win, and developing a working relationship with Gordy (he drove to Cincinnati to workshop my script!) and the BlueCat team make it something much different than just a contest. It is, at the very least, multiple pieces of invaluable feedback on your writing. And to me, it was an experience that continues to change the ways in which I approach my work..."
Ian Simpson, 2010 BlueCat Winner

"How great to get these analyses -- and from astute and careful readers. Their comments both encourage and challenge me to really examine how to make this script as good as it can be. Thanks again!"
Cornelia R., 2012 Entrant

"THANK YOU THANK YOU - this is so excellent! I really appreciate the feedback - very helpful and constructive. I have entered the contest before and applied the feedback - got reaffirmation that the advice I took had helped and looking forward to further developing - thank you so much!!"
Anne Marie D., 2012 Entrant
