Comparative Literature/Hispanic Studies Conference Room.
Mexican writer Cristina Rivera Garza is the author of several novels, two
volumes of short stories, poetry and essays. Here novel "Nadie me verá
llorar", a meditation on the ways in which medical and popular language
define insanity, appeared in English as "No One Will See me Cry." She was
born in Matamoros, Mexico, had taught in Mexico City, and currently teaches
creative writing at UC-San Diego.
