[CW-Grad] Internship at Mandate Pictures

Established in January 2005, Mandate Pictures is a multifaceted film
production and financing entity, recently acquired by Lionsgate, that
continues to operate as an autonomous brand. Under CEO Joe Drake,
President Nathan Kahane and CFO Matthew Bakal, the company's projects
include Academy Award nominated Juno, Strangers (and the upcoming
Strangers sequel), Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Harold and Kumar 1
& 2, Stranger than Fiction, The Grudge, 30 Days of Night. Mandate's
upcoming films include the artificial insemination comedy, THE BASTER,
starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman; the roller derby comedy
Whip It, featuring Drew Barrymore in her directorial debut and starring
Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig and Juliet Lewis; I'm With Cancer, starring
Seth Rogen; and Harold & Kumar 3, starring Kal Penn and Jon Cho.


Mandate's Creative Department seeks motivated and hardworking interns
with a passion for film for the Spring 2009 semester.  Because Mandate
is a small company, we make it our business to be in the center of
industry activity. We try to read every script, meet every piece of new
talent and make a point not to let anything pass by our desks
un-covered.  We are looking for interns who are eager and hungry to get
their hands dirty as we rely on them to be part of the team.  In
addition to typical intern duties (i.e., copying, filing, running
errands) our interns are expected to read and cover scripts, participate
in weekly script and project meetings, compile talent lists for upcoming
projects, do online research, etc. Additionally, because Mandate
oversees the film production process from financing and development
through physical production, interns will be exposed to multiple aspects
of the filmmaking process.  This internship is unpaid; school credit
