> In 2009/2010, Iron Horse Literary Review will publish one story, one
> essay, or three to four poems written by a graduate student currently
> enrolled in an AWP-affiliated program. The featured writer will be
> displayed prominently in the issue and will also receive $150
> for first serial publication rights and four free copies
> of the issue featuring his or her work.

> Rules:
> • Manuscripts must be nominated by the faculty of the student's
> creative writing program and must arrive with a nomination letter
> from the director/faculty member of the student's creative writing  
> program.
> • Each program may nominate only ONE student per genre:
> one in fiction, one in nonfiction, one in poetry.
> • Prose manuscripts should be no longer than 20 pages,
> double-spaced, one-inch margins, 12-point type; poetry
> manuscripts should include 3 to 5 poems but not more than 10 pages.
> • Previously published manuscripts will not be considered.
> • Simultaneous submissions will not be considered.
> • Students enrolled in Texas Tech University's creative
> writing program will not be considered.
> • All nominations must be postmarked by March 23.
