FYI,
Ching-In

Mark those calendars now! Come one and all to the Stella Adler Theatre in
Hollywood on Monday, January 12th for the Alliance of Los Angeles
Playwrights Annual Meeting and 12th Nite Party!

It's going to be an amazing evening, and it kicks off with a very special
guest.

At 6:00 PM, ALAP will host a lecture by Janet Neipris on "Ethics and the
Moral Responsibility of the Playwright." Janet currently heads the Graduate
Playwriting and Screenwriting Department at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts,
and is a member of the Writer's Guild of America East, and PEN. She has
served as a member of the Dramatists Guild Council and the Tony Committee.
Her plays have been produced at theatres around the US and internationally,
including the National Theatre in London; the Manhattan Theatre Club and The
Women's Project in New York; and the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.
After the talk, we'll take a brief break, and resume at 7:30 PM for the
Annual Meeting, at which we'll announce ALAP's plans for 2009 - and then
we'll adjourn to the Stella's Speakeasy for a gala 12th Nite Party.

The evening is free and open to all, but you must reserve. Email
events at laplaywrights.org <events%40laplaywrights.org> with your full name,
the number in your party, and a contact phone number. Please let us know
whether you plan to attend the lecture, the meeting/party, or the whole
evening.

The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights is the service and support
organization for playwrights in the greater Los Angeles area. Among the many
benefits of ALAP membership are our Script Catalogue, Resource Guide to LA
Theatres, New Works Lab, Membership Directory and much more--to get the
details, visit http://laplaywrights.org.

The Stella Adler Theatre is located at 6773 Hollywood Blvd, 2nd Floor.
Inexpensive parking is located across the street in the Hollywood and
Highland complex--just have them validate your ticket at the Stella. Of
course, feel free to go green and arrive via the subway; the Hollywood and
Highland station is on the red line.

Hope to see you there!

Happy holidays,
