[Cwgrad-announcements] Susan's Short Fiction Awards

Just wanted to help make everyone aware of the attention Professor Susan Straight's short fiction is receiving, in addition to the wonderful reception for her latest novel, "A Million Nightingales."

Susan's excellent short story, "El Ojo de Agua," published in the Spring 2006 issue of Zoetrope:  All Story, is being featured in The O. Henry Prize Stories 2007.  It is also a finalist for the National Magazine Award, which recognizes excellence in magazine fiction writing.  

Both of these are amazing achievements, as those of us who write short stories well know.
